About Nitmiluk Tours

Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) is an Indigenous-owned tourism destination in the Northern Territory, led by the Jawoyn people.
The destination combines:
- World-renowned gorge systems
- Jawoyn-led cultural experiences
- Gorge cruises and canoe adventures
- Scenic helicopter flights
- Bush walks and lookouts
Accommodation including Cicada Lodge, cabins and campground
Nitmiluk is more than a natural attraction. It is a living cultural landscape shaped by story, stewardship and community leadership.
The Challenge
Nitmiluk had strong awareness, but awareness alone does not convert into extended stays or bookings. Visitors needed clarity on what to do, confidence in how to plan, inspiration to stay longer, a genuine sense of cultural connection, and a seamless path from dreaming to booking. The opportunity was not to produce another brochure, but to design a planning tool that converts inspiration into action, one that demonstrates how easy it is to build a multi-day experience, positions Nitmiluk as a complete destination rather than a day trip, brings Jawoyn leadership and storytelling to the forefront, and encourages visitors to see themselves fully immersed in Country.
