Don’t know about anyone else, but I’m appreciating all the little things right now.

Things like seeing blue sky from our ‘work from home’ office. Having the cat … AND the dog… at my feet, which is always calming. Talking to my elderly father and father-in-law daily, to make sure they are following safety protocols. Hearing my daughter talk to her friends on the phone. Remembering the things that are important right at this minute,  the things that I find grounding.

Because if I am grounded and calm and appreciative, then I’m able to think openly, and differently, in terms of our clients’ businesses, and our own…

So in this article, I want to share some ideas and guidelines about how things can change up, which hopefully, will give you new thoughts about your own businesses. To help you think outside the box.

If you’re in Professional Services…

Professional Services include:

— Lawyers
— Accountants
— Human Resource
— Counselling
— Consultants
— Health & Wellness Centres
— Yoga Centres

Over the coming weeks and months, it’s going to get harder and harder to meet face to face. Not just with the regulations, but with people practicing caution, as they should be.

Professional Services Businesses have an advantage in that they are selling expertise and time, and not a physical product.

Therefore moving to a Virtual Business Model is a great opportunity for continuity in these types of operations.

It not only keeps you active and busy with your clients, but gives them the access and guidance that we are all desperately needing in these uncertain times.

Going digital is more than just using Skype or Zoom, and it’s important to have a level of confidence about using these platforms – especially to keep client confidence up.

Here are a few things to remember as you go digital:

— Make sure you know how to create and email / message online meeting links
— Have your booking reminders set up correctly
— Select quality equipment such as microphones etc so that communication is clear
— Remember to keep the look professional, sit correctly, and position yourself correctly in the frame
— Project confidence and efficiency

For those in this space who might need help, we can offer one-on-one training to assist in getting everything set up correctly for you. Just get in touch.

If you’re in Retail…

For traditional retail businesses, as we all know, times are going to be tough for a while.

And whilst the government is implementing measures to assist, they will take time to roll out.

Plus we don’t want to be completely reliant on these government incentives.

People still need to buy, and still want to buy, certain products.

The very best thing as a retail business you can do is to make it as easy as possible to buy online.

Moving from traditional to online retail can be achieved relatively quickly, and doesn’t need to cost the earth.

Some things on which you need to focus:

— Which products will you sell
How will they be delivered
— Will there be a way to pickup
— How to reach existing customers
— How to reach new customers

For retail customers, we can help by:

— moving your shop onto an ecommerce platform
— helping you decide which products to focus on
— showing you how to build ads to reach new and existing customers
— build messenger bots to keep communication and sales as easy as possible for your clients
— plus more, and we can do it via one-on-one arrangements, done-for-you, or one of our courses.

From one-on-one guidance, to one of our courses, if you would like any assistance, or just a friendly voice on the phone, please get in touch, we just want to help in any way that we can.
